Here are some side by side shots of what's on my reel for my salvation scene, compared to the work I've done on it since. Let me know what you all think
Hey Jon. Thanks for the link. So here is my feed back: I like some of the changes made to the work. The problem I see happening is that we're also losing some of the things that are working in the process. I don't think there has to be a trade off. The Normal map on the brick isn't working for me. The indentations don't match the texture and the shadows on the cans still look a little off. It would also be nice to have some trash coming out of the cans. If there is that big of a blaze then there is probably a lot of garbage. Also it comes to my attention that a light directly above a blaze like that would either be blackened on the edge or totally blown out from the heat.
The basket ball court image has a sign thats to blown out behind the light. Also I think there is to much light taken off of the left wall and the right one for that matter. Even if the light isn't angled there would be some bounce light hitting the right wall.
The bottom picture facing away from the fire is working better (say for the shadows). However I also notice that the papers on the ground are to perfectly squared with no ripped edges. The wall on the right is looking much better. That's my feed back for now, let me know if you have any questions.
